SEC Power Rankings - Week 5

0 Views 0 Comments

#1 - Alabama Crimson Tide - The offensive appears more explosive than ever and the defense looks more capable of stopping spread offenses than ever.

#2 - Texas A&M Aggies - The Aggies defense is much improved over last season and the offense continues to be incredibly explosive.

#3 - Auburn Tigers - The Tigers have had some struggles but there is still a ton of talent on that team and that offense is as tough to stop as ever.

#4 - Mississippi State Bulldogs - This is the Bulldogs best team since Dan Mullen has been in Starkville.  The defensive line has been stellar and Dak Prescott is showing some signs of being a special player.

#5 - Georgia Bulldogs - I have one word for you - Gurley.  Gurley is the best player in college football and as long as he is healthy an din the backfield the Bulldogs will be in every game.

#6 - Ole Miss Rebels - The Rebels defense appears to be the real deal this season but the offense still has big question marks and Bo Wallace has been mostly inept.

#7 - LSU Tigers - The Tigers ran into a buzz saw against Mississippi State but the team should only improve as the young players gain experience.

#8 - Arkansas Razorbacks - The Hogs showed a lot against Texas A&M.  The defense played better than expected and Brandon Allen showed flashes at QB along with a powerful rushing attack.

#9 - Tennessee Volunteers - The Vols played incredibly well against Georgia and should gain a lot of confidence from that game.  Their offensive line needs to continue to improve because the rest of the team is getting better.

#10 - Missouri Tigers - The Tigers got a huge win at South Carolina but the offense struggled a great deal.  The pass rush continues to be the strength of the team.

#11 - South Carolina Gamecocks - The Gamecocks have a lot of issues this season and appear to be just an average football team.

#12 - Florida Gators - The Gators head to Knoxville this weekend for a big game off a bye week but the Gators better figure out their QB play or they won't have a chance.

#13 - Kentucky Wildcats - There is no doubt that Kentucky is getting better but they still aren't ready to win many games, even in a down SEC East.

#14 - Vanderbilt Commodores - Vandy has a lot of issues this season, especially on the offensive side of the ball and will be very lucky to win the SEC.
